Choosing your lighting
Enameled or matte?
Each light comes in two finishes, which give the porcelain a very different character.
The enameled finish is achieved by dipping the piece into an enamel bath, giving it a shiny, glossy look. It is especially recommended for kitchens and bathrooms: its shine plays off the backsplash and faucets, and enamel is easier to clean.
The matte finish, on the other hand, is left unenameled: the porcelain keeps a velvety touch and a soft appearance. Alix Depondt-Reynis prefers it in the living room, especially near a bookcase. It is also ideal in the bedroom, though a glossy finish works too, depending on your taste.
Pendant, portable lamps or wall light?
The pendant.
All our pendants come with a 1.5 m (4.9 ft) twisted fabric cord. To complete the installation, we offer ceiling canopies in rosette, round or straight styles.
The portable lamps.
Fitted with a 3 m (9.8 ft) cord with plug and switch, it can be wound as you like around a wall-mounted peg, a hook, the corner of a mirror… No DIY or installation needed: it makes an easy gift for lovers of the brand.
The wall light.
When the electrical wires come straight out of the wall, there are two types of wall lights to choose from. The first, the fixed wall light, sits directly against the wall: simple and discreet, it suits any room. The second, the “hanging” wall light, is adjustable in height: the electrical connection is made inside our hollow wall peg, which then acts as a canopy. Simply wind the cord around the peg to hang the light at the length you want.
