The Litron cup is a cylinder-shaped coffee cup with a straight rim and a handle. This new straight shape was invented in the early 1750s at the Vincennes porcelain factory, which was later transferred to Sèvres to form the Sèvres factory in 1756. The designer was inspired by this shape to create the ideal coffee cup in white Limoges porcelain, embellished with the laurel wreath typical of the Empire collection. This piece is hand-sculpted in our Paris workshop, then cast in porcelain in our Limoges factory using traditional techniques, and is a perfect match for the Litron Empire saucer.
