CRAFTED BY HAND
Alix draws inspiration from antique parures, Eastern ornaments and religious symbols to create collections that are as sensitive as they are contemporary. It is no coincidence, then, that you will recognize elements and details that also inspired Alix’s porcelain objects.
The jewelry, in silver-gilt and gold, is drawn by hand and worked like sculpture in Paris. Starting from a small, meticulously carved wax, Alix then reworks the metal cast model to design each piece. Once the right harmony is found, a mold is made, from which the silver or gold castings are produced. On these precious-metal castings, the jeweler’s work is to file down the casting sprues, solder the rings and findings, set the stones and polish the pieces.
Most of our jewelry is made of silver-gilt (silver plated with 5 microns of 18-karat gold), and can be made in 18-karat gold (750/1000) on request.
