Médicis candle lid

in Limoges porcelain

55 €
The pine cone, an ancient motif, has symbolised rebirth and eternal life since Antiquity. Used by the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, it adorned temples and fountains, reflecting prosperity and spiritual enlightenment, a heritage carried on into Christian art and decorative sculpture. Alix Depondt-Reynis has taken inspiration from this historic symbol to decorate the lid of the Medici candle. Designed as a beautiful object for everyday use, it is made from Limoges porcelain and is hand-crafted by the artisans of our family-run factory using traditional techniques. This Alix D. Reynis lid will elegantly dress up your porcelain Médicis candle.
